Daniel O'Donnell fans warned of scammers pretending to be singer on WhatsApp

Irish singer Daniel O’Donnell has announced he will take an extended break from touring, citing ongoing health challenges. Despite the hiatus, fans can look forward to select appearances in 2026. O’Donnell is set to host his annual Opry le Daniel shows on TG4 early in the year and will perform on Gertrude Byrne’s Mediterranean Cruise in September .

O’Donnell reassured fans of his overall good health, stating, “I’m absolutely fine.” He explained that while he manages his health issues well in daily life, the rigors of touring have made them more challenging. “I haven’t made this decision because of ill-health or anything,” he said. “It’s because I just feel that the continuous touring is not suiting me now and I need to figure out what to do” .

Known affectionately as “Wee Daniel,” O’Donnell has been a fixture in the Irish music scene for over four decades, with a career marked by numerous chart-topping albums and a dedicated fan base. His decision to pause touring reflects a commitment to maintaining his health and spending quality time with his family, including his wife Majella and their four grandchildren.
